CHROMIUM BROWSERS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED
(In my experience it works fine in Firefox, but it is known that some Godot games have new bugs in Firefox)

I recommend playing in full screen mode

We wanted to make more levels and have more visual variety but we ran out of time. That being said, everything in this version you are playing is beatable. (Tutorial + 3 Stages). Of course, you might find bugs we didn't but we can at least guarantee that this version of the game is beatable as is.

While there are secret Easter eggs in the game, there are no "tricks".  As in:

No checkpoints that softlock you, no invisible blocks etc. All puzzles can be solved by understanding the game mechanics.

Very fun idea, unfortunately the difficulty ramps up very quickly and somehow showing all the spells would be helpful, I was guessing a lot, I really like the movement and the simple visuals. Great work!

The difficulty ramping up really fast is due to two things: The time limit of the jam, and whether the gameplay should be taught to the player in a top down manner or a bottom up manner. By that I mean, do we give them freedom and let them experiment with all 6 skills first? Or do we limit their movement as much as we can so that they start with only 2 skills to worry about.

We found out while designing levels that more freedom meant more difficulty. So to make the game not as punishing, we designed the levels (at least levels 1 and 2) in a way where there is only 1 possible solution to every puzzle.

cool puzzler idea, gets tricky very quickly. i think having a visual of each recipe would help, i often had to do semi-random movement to iterate through the options i had when considering each step.

I see. I added the list of skills in the description after receiving feedback from multiple people, but understandably it might not have helped since I also recommended people to play in full screen. Thank you for the feedback!.

gud, my brain too small to finish

Interesting little puzzle platformer. Makes one think, and executed very well.

No greater compliment for a puzzle game than “it made me think”! Thank you for playing!
